Final JVA Writer in Residence Announced

We are pleased to announce that Chris Fite-Wassilak will be the final JVA writer in residence.
Working Primarily on the JVA Blog, Chris will critically respond to the Jerwood Drawing Prize (14 September – 28 October) and Jerwood Encounters: Terra (8 November – 11 December) exhibitions posting thoughts and essays that open up wider contextual debate surrounding the issues and themes raised in the JVA programme.
Chris is an independent curator, freelance writer and art critic. He is a regular contributor to Frieze, Art Monthly, ArtPapers, ArtReview, the Visual Artists Newsletter Ireland and Circa; his writing has also appeared in FlashArt International, Artforum.com, and Art and Australia. He was the cofounder and editor of ‘This Way Up’, a free, collaborative comic and curatorial project in Dublin (2004-2006) and am a member of AICA UK. Chris has forthcoming reviews in the September issues of Frieze and Art Monthly including: 'Narrative Show’, Art Monthly, issue 349, 'Rain', Art Monthly, issue 349, 'Over Your Cities Grass Will Grow,' Frieze 141.
